Natick Democratic Caucus, March 3
Registered Democrats in Natick will hold a caucus on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 7:00 pm to elect Delegates and Alternates to the 2022 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The caucus will take place virtually. Registration is required to attend, and participants are requested to register as early as possible to prevent delays for check-in at the time of the event. Democrats who wish to participate may register at https://tinyurl.com/3se4fsp8 to receive the Zoom link.
This year’s state convention will be held on June 3 and June 4 virtually and at the DCU Center in Worcester, where Democrats from across the state will come together to endorse candidates for statewide office, including governor, lieutenant governor, secretary, attorney general, and auditor, ahead of the Democratic Primary this September. The event will take place in line with all federal, state, and local health guidelines and will include a virtual option for participation.
The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Natick. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 by February 4, 2022, will be allowed to participate and run as a Delegate or Alternate. Natick can elect 23 Delegates and 5 Alternates to the Convention.
Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals who are not elected as a Delegate or Alternate may apply to be Add-on Delegates at the caucus or at www.massdems.org by April 9, 2022.
On the day of the caucus, the Zoom feed will open at 6:30 pm. By state party rule, anyone who would like to vote at the caucus or run for a delegate position must be on the Zoom feed by 7:15 pm. Please note that the length of the caucus depends on the number of people running for delegate positions. It’s possible that the process will take two hours or more.
